This a local Indivisible event! Eagle Group, Indivisible, is sponsoring a Rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, a place long known for civil protest. Every generation faces challenges to democracy, this being America’s challenge now! No Kings! Americans must make our voices heard to Defend Democracy, particularly ensuring our government workers feel valued for their service, recognizing all Americans for their sacrifices to defend our threatened rights. Restore Democracy to Our Country! We are inviting groups of veterans, government workers, and all people who support Democracy, to reject the chaos that is sweeping over the United States. Join Us on this historic day in American History to demonstrate with the same power as the Protesters from the 60’s and 70’s! Political Leaders and Indivisible members will address the attendees to demonstrate the values needed for our struggle to defend Democracy. The general public combined with Indivisible groups from the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, and across the country will unite to demonstrate the power of a united people to Defend Democracy. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
